Atlanta’s Album 88 favs The Yum Yum Tree reformed in 2019, after a 10 year hiatus to bring you “stuck-in-your head” catchy indie rock.
TYYT were college radio darlings from 1999-2008 and wrote the theme song for Georgia Music Show. They were also on Creative Loafing’s Honor Roll for “Year End Best of” and The AJC’s “Best of Album Releases” in 2002. These old friends bring together a mixture of old favorites as well as new material.
Andy Gish (bass/lead singer) co-founded Kimono My House in March of 2020 as a way to stay connected to her community, after having to cancel several shows due to Covid. Matt Harr (drums) and John McNicholas (guitar/vocals) round out The Yum Yum Tree.
The Yum Yum Tree has two full-length albums and two EPs. They are currently working on a third full length album.
Matt and Andy also had a side-project called Love Me Till My Heart Stops which released an EP in 2014.
John McNicholas also has some awesomely catchy music over at The Sunset District and has just finished a forthcoming album.
Oh yeah, and in 2022 The Emergency-Ordianed Rev. John McNicolas served as Officient and hitched Andy and Matt in matrimony.
We've been making music together in one form or another since 1999! We love doing it. We hope you like it too!
The best way to support indie musicians is through buying their music! Bandcamp is one of the most artist friendly site for that but you can also find us on all other platforms (iTunes, Spotify, etc).
